Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will be released on September 17, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2. The new part is built around four heroes whose stories are connected by time travel and a common threat to the future.

Four heroes lead their own lines

The player gathers allies in different eras and gradually connects the stories of the four main characters. The goal is to stop the demonic god Balor and prevent the destruction of the future.

Different routes provide their own allies and situations, but converge on a common story. Therefore, the structure is noticeably broader than one tournament or one group of fighters.

Tactics are still based on position

The squad moves across cells, and the range of weapons, terrain and the location of allies determine safe options for movement.A mistake in position can open a weak character to a counter attack.

The classes maintain different roles: some fighters hold the front line, others attack from a distance or use high mobility. The composition of the squad has to be changed depending on the map and opponents.

Fortune's Weave is being created for Switch 2

This is a new part of the series, and not a port of the old Fire Emblem.Nintendo announces the game specifically for Nintendo Switch 2.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will release on September 17, 2026.
