1. Data we receive

Registration is not required to read stories. When an account is created, the site stores the first and last name, email address, chosen username, a technical account identifier and a password hash. The password itself is not stored in plain text.

For comments, the site stores the story and account identifiers, display name, comment text, status and creation time.

2. Technical data and security

During sign-in and registration, an IP address may be used temporarily to limit repeated attempts, protect forms from automated requests and perform CAPTCHA checks. The server and hosting provider may create standard technical request logs containing IP address, time, page address, browser type and error information.

3. Cookies and local storage

• snbk_session — a protected HttpOnly authentication cookie. A regular session lasts 1 day; with “Remember me” selected, up to 30 days.
• snbk-cookie-consent-v2 — a browser localStorage entry that remembers the choice made in the cookie notice.
• snbk_locale — a language-preference cookie that remembers the selected site language for up to 1 year.

Disabling essential cookies may make account sign-in unavailable.

4. How data is used

• creating and maintaining an account;
• authentication and session protection;
• publishing and moderating comments;
• preventing abuse and automated attacks;
• diagnosing technical errors and keeping the site stable.

5. External services

Yandex SmartCaptcha is used to protect forms. During verification, technical data required to validate the request, including the IP address, may be sent to the service. Pages may also load technical resources such as web fonts from third-party infrastructure.

6. Analytics and advertising

SNBK Games keeps its own aggregated traffic statistics: page views by day, the viewed page address and referral source. For this internal analytics, the site does not store IP addresses, user agents, advertising identifiers or a separate visitor cookie. The data is used to understand interest in stories and improve the publication.

With user consent, the site enables Yandex Metrica for analytics and Yandex Advertising Network to serve and measure advertising. These services are not loaded when the user selects “Essential only” in the cookie notice. When active, the browser may exchange technical data with Yandex and use cookies or other identifiers required for analytics, ad selection and measurement.

7. Data sharing

SNBK Games does not sell users' personal data. Infrastructure and security providers may receive the minimum technical information required to operate the site.

8. Storage and deletion

Account data is stored while the account is in use or while it is required for the relevant function. Expired sessions no longer provide access. Comments may remain with the article discussion until they are removed on request or through moderation.

You can request deletion of an account, comment or related data through the contact page. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account.

9. Policy changes

If site functionality or the services we use change, the current version of this policy will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
