Steam's Fall Sale kicks off tonight, followed by several more festivals and a big Winter Sale before the end of the year.We collected dates in order to estimate in advance when it is worth purchasing additional games.
Autumn sale from October 1 to October 8
The sale runs from October 1st to October 8th.Valve did not separately name the exact start time for it, but large sales on Steam traditionally open at 10:00 Pacific time.In Moscow it is around 20:00.
Previously, the fall sale took place in November, the week of Thanksgiving. From 2025, Valve moved it to the beginning of autumn: last year it ran from September 29 to October 6.
You shouldn’t count on discounts for new products of the last month: according to Steamworks rules, the game must be released at least 30 days before the start of the sale. This means that new releases like the remaster of The Witcher 3 or TOEM 2 will most likely not receive discounts.
For example, what happens at such sales: last fall, Baldur's Gate 3 was sold at a 25% discount, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 is 30% off, and DOOM: The Dark Ages is 33% off.In total, Steam then counted more than 100 thousand offers.
