B Risk of Rain 2 an addition has been released Hallowed Concepts.The developers added new survivors, bosses and unusual items, and released free update for all owners of the base game.These are two different parts of the release: you have to pay for additional content, and a number of improvements are available without purchase.

What is included in the paid Hallowed Concepts

Addition released October 8, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.On American Steam its price is $14,99;Pricing and availability may vary in other regions.To play you need to have it installed basic Risk of Rain 2.

Two survivors are announced as part of the DLC - Enforcer (available immediately) and Acolyte (unlocks as the game progresses).Also added are three regular levels, additional challenges, three new bosses, three enemies, a new elite type and interactive objects.

A separate item system includes 14 Hexes, 11 Hallowed Items and three regular items.The developers describe the expansion as another way to change the tactics of races, but the effectiveness of the new builds has yet to be assessed by the players themselves.

What has changed is free for all players

A large patch was released along with the expansion.By official 2K notes, it changes the balance of previous content and adds new skills for six original survivors.In particular, Commando received an additional special skill Sabotage, and Huntress is a secondary ability Laser Cyclone.

These innovations are included in the general part of the update, so there is no need to buy Hallowed Concepts for the new moves of old characters.Some abilities have opening conditions, and the full list of changes is published separately.

If you haven't returned to Risk of Rain 2 in a while, it's wise to first check out how the base game has been updated: new skills and balance can themselves change the usual routes.And Hallowed Concepts is intended primarily for those who need new characters, levels, items and opponents.
