Hideo Kojima revealed the leading actor in PHYSINT: The central character will be played by Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård.The announcement was made at the finals of the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 along with a new poster for the game.
Kojima has already scanned the actors
According to Kojima, the team managed to do costume fittings, scans and camera tests with Skarsgård and Charlie Fraser. It was these shootings that gave the director confidence in the chosen direction.
The cast also includes Don Lee and Minami Hamabe.Additional names will be revealed later.
The project has finally settled with Xbox
A week ago it became known that PHYSINT would be published by Xbox.We separately examined how the project moved to Xbox after the release of PlayStation.Kojima's reappearance on the show already shows that the partnership is not formal: Xbox is using PHYSINT as one of its notable future projects.
The game itself is described as a spy action game.Mechanical details and a release date have yet to be announced, so any comparisons to Metal Gear remain more of a genre guide than a description of the finished game.
OD is also back to normal production
Kojima also showed behind-the-scenes footage of OD – KNOCK with Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer.Motion capture and dialogue recording were previously paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, but production is now back on schedule.
The announcement itself became part of the big Xbox presentation at TGS.Before the exhibition we collected broadcast schedule and expectations;now it's clear that Kojima was indeed left for the final focus of the show.
