The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in October.Bethesda is bringing the updated Cyrodiil to the hybrid console a few months after its release on other platforms.

The core remains the same RPG from 2006, but with completely redesigned graphics, new lighting, character models and updated animations.
The full version will be transferred to Switch 2
The edition includes the main game and the story expansions Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. Therefore, Switch 2 owners will not have to purchase large chapters separately.
Cyrodiil retains a loose structure. You can move through the main story, join guilds, explore ruins, or even forget about the central quest for a long time.
The main issue is the performance of portable mode
Oblivion Remastered is noticeably more demanding than the original. On the Switch 2, it will be especially interesting to test frame rate stability and image quality in handheld mode.
Bethesda has not yet revealed detailed graphics modes for the version for the new Nintendo console. These parameters will become clearer closer to release.
Oblivion becomes a portable RPG again
For a great RPG, the ability to continue playing off the TV fits well with its structure.A short trip could be spent on one quest, clearing a cave, or getting to the next town.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in October 2026.
