A game from the times when domestic RPGs seriously tried to respond to Diablo has returned to Russian Steam. "Blood Magic" from Voronezh-based SkyFallen Entertainment reached the Valve store 21 years after the initial release - and now costs less than two hundred rubles.
Fulqrum Publishing released a re-release of Dawn of Magic, not a remaster. The base price on Russian Steam is 240 rubles; There is a 20% discount until October 15, so at launch the game is sold for 192 rubles.
What has changed after two decades
Reissue without alteration
This is a re-release, not a remaster or remake: the publisher has preserved the spirit, content and gaming experience of the original, adding minor improvements.Support for modern resolutions and ultra-wide monitors has appeared (the original interface can be returned with a combination of Ctrl and F12), the camera zoom range has increased, 35 achievements have been added, cloud saving, family access and the Steam Workshop. The game is compatible with Steam Deck, and the authors want to get a “green check” for it.

Magic and morphing
The ancient creature Modo is trying to regain his lost power, and a hero, whom the player chooses from four characters, opposes him.Development is based on 12 schools of magic and 96 spells that can be combined, and the morphing system changes the hero’s appearance and combat parameters as he levels up.You can play alone or over a local network; multiplayer modes are designed for a group of up to 16 people. The press remembered the game as “Russia’s answer to Diablo.”
The sequel is coming
Fulqrum Publishing promises the same re-release of the sequel “Blood Magic: Time of Shadows” (Dawn of Magic 2).It has been on Steam since 2009, but without the Russian language.
