Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, City Never Sleeps.It redrawn the map, added six heroes and hit the online scene: on Steam, the game set a new record of 228,086 people at the same time.Deadlock remains a 6v6 competitive third-person shooter that has yet to be officially announced.

City in three styles

Valve has completely redesigned the city map.Downtown remained bright, the university was haunted, and the stock exchange became gloomy.Four unique areas have appeared: Theatre, Chinatown, Haunted Lot and Plaza.At the same time, the developers redid all the buildings and creeps on every street.

Six heroes and a mysterious Broker

The update introduced six heroes: Nurse Harrow, Rat King, Solomon, Deadman Danny, Baba and Violet.Their entry into the game depends on the players' vote; it is already open, as with previous characters.A mysterious Broker has also appeared, who, for a certain fee, turns the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Interface and details

Valve has redesigned the interface: new allied indicators, updated health bars, improved characteristics, improved aiming mode and event feed.There are also new tools for creating training bots, and new voice lines have been added to the heroes.

Online record

After the update was released, Deadlock rose to first place on the Steam most popular games chart.The peak online reached 228,086 people, and the previous record of 171,490 stood since September 2024.The game is still in closed testing, you can only get into it by invitation.
