AMD has released a driver Adrenalin 26.10.1, in which the neural network upscaler FSR 4.1 earned money on Radeon RX 6000 video cards. Initially, the company promised support for the RDNA 2 architecture only at the beginning of 2027, but delivered it several months earlier. The update covers models from RX 6400 to older cards in the series.
Until now, FSR 4.1 only worked on the Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000. Old cards did not support a heavy machine learning model, so AMD reworked it and optimized it for RDNA 2. At the presentation, the technology was shown on the Radeon RX 6800 XT in 4K, but the company did not give performance figures.

Integrated Graphics and Portables
For the first time, FSR 4.1 appeared on integrated Radeon graphics. For Ryzen AI processors, as well as Ryzen Z2 Extreme and Z2 A chips in portable consoles, AMD has made a separate model, which is half the size of the main one.According to the company, even the Performance mode in FSR 4.1 produces a better picture than FSR 3.1 at higher settings.Asus has already confirmed support for the ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Flow Z13 and TUF A14 laptop, but laptop owners will have to wait for drivers from the manufacturer.
Xbox Series will wait
Microsoft announced that FSR 4.1 will appear on the Xbox Series X and S. There are no deadlines, AMD is only talking about an imminent release.Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet also confirmed that the future Project Helix will receive the next generation of upscaler called FSR Diamond.
