Firesprite Games has announced the exact release date for Until Dawn 2. The interactive horror game will go on sale on PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2027.
The publisher is Sony Interactive Entertainment.Pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions will open on September 10, 2026.

New team and new island
The main characters of the sequel are members of the ghost hunting team Dead True, which films paranormal content.Their investigation leads to the remote island of Akishima, where a story of supernatural phenomena begins to become reality.
As in the first Until Dawn, the player's decisions will affect the relationship between the heroes, the development of events and who will survive to the end.Firesprite is also collaborating with AdHoc Studio of Dispatch fame on the story and characters.

What was shown in the trailer
In the new video, the team first explores the Blackwood Sanatorium, which is connected to the events of the original game, and then gets a new lead at HorrorCon in Sydney.After this, the heroes go to the island where the resort closed many years ago.
In one of the episodes shown, the player is asked to choose whether to follow the signal of a missing comrade or turn off the route for another clue.In another case, the decision involves a ritual that can change the fate of one of the characters.

Pre-order and Digital Deluxe Edition
For pre-ordering the standard or Digital Deluxe Edition, the developers promise costumes associated with Dr. Hill, as well as collectible figurines of the character inside the game.Dr. Hill is again played by Peter Stormare.
The Digital Deluxe Edition additionally includes a set of Y2K Neon Vibes costumes for the eight members of Dead True and a Diorama of Death mode where you can view open scenes of character death.
