Toxic Crusaders showed new gameplay: seven heroes against radioactive mutants

Retroware presented a new gameplay trailer Toxic Crusaders.The game brings back the radioactive characters from the 1991 animated series in the form of a classic 2D bitmap.On the screen are mutants, zombie chickens and familiar comic book special effects.

Seven fighters and four players

There are seven characters to choose from, including Toxie, No-Zone, Junkyard, Major Disaster, Headbanger, Yvonne and Mrs. Junko.Everyone has their own tricks.Local co-op is supported for up to four people.

The plot will take the team through seven levels - from the streets of Tromaville to the planet Smogul.The authors promise hand-drawn scenes, music in the spirit of the nineties and humor associated with the films of the Troma studio.

The release is currently scheduled for 2026 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.The exact date did not appear in the new trailer.
