The Sims 4 gets over 95 fixes and smarter autonomy tweaks

EA has released a major free update to The Sims 4 focusing on character behavior and stability.Patch 1.128.90.1030 on PC, 1.128.90.1230 on Mac and version 2.39 on consoles includes over 95 fixes, as well as a new set of items for children and toddlers in the base game.

Sims need to be more logical

The main group of changes concerns autonomy.Characters now turn to each other during conversations, wash their hands in the same bathroom sink, repeat the same actions less often, and take into account their own preferences.For example, a Sim who doesn't like gardening should no longer be required to care for plants without permission.

Relationships have been reworked separately.Growing Together has reduced the frequency of some family dynamics, and characters with poor compatibility and difficult relationships are less likely to initiate communication themselves.In Lovestruck, romantic satisfaction now decreases more slowly and does not change for inactive families.

Freeze and crash fixes

Maxis has addressed several causes of action queue freezes, issues after WooHoo, bugs transitioning between build mode and the world map, and a number of crashes with Create a Sim.The developers separately warn that some of the automatic crash reports were associated with outdated mods, so the modifications should be updated after the patch.

University characters from inactive families should now attend classes more correctly, NPCs no longer reset at karaoke stations at festivals, and Seasons owners will see less intrusive building of snowmen and snow angels.

Free items for children

The base game without add-ons includes new hairstyles, clothes, accessories, furniture and decor.Construction items include a children's table, an armchair, an aquarium, wall paintings and decorative sets.There's also a finished room, styled looks, and a new Maxis family in the Gallery.

EA says the changes are based on questions to developers on Discord, Reddit discussions, and the most popular EA Forums posts.The next major update to the base game in October will focus on food and drink.
