Sony held two State of Play editions in a row and collected more than 30 games. The dates of major releases, new projects, additions and the return of classics to PlayStation Plus fit into one broadcast.
The main show was Final Fantasy VII Revelation, but the presentation did not rest on just one game.Metro 2039 received a release date, Until Dawn 2 returned to familiar places, and Silent Hill, Monster Hunter and Ghost of Yōtei reminded of upcoming additions and releases.
Briefly: The most important dates after the presentation are October 1, 2026 for the Ghost of Yōtei expansions, January 28, 2027 for Until Dawn 2, February 4, 2027 for Metro 2039, and April 8, 2027 for Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

1. Final Fantasy VII Revelation received a release date
The finale of the remake trilogy will be released on April 8, 2027.Square Enix showed travel on Highwind, a grappling hook for moving around cities, instant character changes and a new FITS class system.
FITS includes four areas: Warrior, Knight, Black Mage and Summoner. They change the hero's abilities and role in battle. This is no longer cosmetic, but another layer of customization for the entire group.

2. Metro 2039 will be released on February 4
4A Games has set the release of Metro 2039 for February 4, 2027.The presentation showed the gameplay of the PS5 Pro version and a new hero, whom the developers call the Wanderer.
The game once again combines exploration, survival, stealth and gunplay. The action returns to post-apocalyptic Moscow, but the story is not built around Artyom. It's an important change of perspective for a series that has long clung to a familiar hero.

3. Until Dawn 2 will return in January
Until Dawn 2 will be released on January 28, 2027 on PS5.Firesprite is working on the game with AdHoc Studio.Blackwood Sanatorium and Akishima Island appeared in the trailer, and elections will again change the fate of the characters.
The return of a familiar place connects the sequel with the first part, but the developers are not limited to the old mountain. Two locations give the story more space and allow it to separate different lines of horror.
4. Ghost of Yōtei will receive two major additions
Complete Edition will be released on October 1st.It will include the Most Wanted survival mode and the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion. The first is built around waves of enemies and bosses. The second returns to Atsu's past and the Battle of Sekigahara.
These are two different ways to extend the life of the game. Most Wanted is designed for repeated playthroughs, and Echoes of Sekigahara adds history and explains part of the heroine's past.

5. Monster Hunter Wilds will take to the skies
The Ascendance expansion will be released in 2027.Capcom introduced the Skybound Eyrie area, new Boost Action mechanics, and several Elder Dragons.A playable demo will be shown at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Judging by the description, the addition changes not only the set of monsters.Vertical locations and actions in the air should significantly restructure the usual hunting.

6–10.Gran Turismo, GTA VI, Keeper and classics
- Gran Turismo 7: The Spec IV update will be divided into October and December parts. In total, two tracks, 12 cars, races with changing conditions and a family mode are promised.
- Grand Theft Auto VI: two limited edition DualSenses will be released on November 19th.Pre-orders will open on September 10th.
- Keeper: wordless adventure Double Fine is out now on PS5.
- PlayStation Plus: Mega Man X: Command Mission, Dino Crisis 2 and the first Ratchet &Clank.
- Maneater 2: the sequel will take the shark to an indoor park on a private island. The release is scheduled for 2027.
What's the result?
The September State of Play turned out to be stronger not in the number of videos, but in specific dates.PlayStation has already built a noticeable chain of releases from the fall of 2026 to the spring of 2027.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation was the main event, but Metro 2039 and Until Dawn 2 were not lost next to it.And add-ons for Ghost of Yōtei, Gran Turismo 7 and Monster Hunter Wilds fill the gaps between big premieres.
