Nintendo will release a free Star Fox update for Switch 2 on September 29th.It will expand Battle Mode and add local split-screen battles for up to four players on the same console.
The update will include three additional arenas: Katina, Sector X and Venom.Corneria, Sector Y and Fichina are currently available in online battles.Online, Star Fox supports four-on-four team matches.
It's important not to confuse the new feature with campaign co-op.Co-op playthroughs of story missions on the same system, online and via GameShare are now available.The September 29 update adds a local Battle Mode.
At the same time, Nintendo continues to bring back old parts of the series: Star Fox Adventures is available from September 9 in the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
