STALKER 2: Cost of Hope will continue the story of the Zone on August 20

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will receive the Cost of Hope story expansion on August 20.GSC Game World continues to develop the Zone after the main campaign and adds a new quest chain.

The add-on is designed for players familiar with the events of Heart of Chornobyl.Therefore, it is better to perceive it as a continuation, and not a separate entry point into the series.

New territories will expand the familiar map

Cost of Hope adds new places to explore.As in the main game, the route between goals is not a straight line: anomalies, mutants and hostile groups force you to change your plan along the way.

Equipment remains critical.Before a long trip, you have to check the condition of the weapon, the supply of ammunition, medicine and the weight of the backpack.

The plot will continue the consequences of the player's decisions

STALKER 2 builds a story around conflicting groups and Skif's choice.Cost of Hope develops this line and returns the player to the consequences of the events of the main campaign.

GSC Game World does not turn the expansion into a separate mode.The new story remains part of the world of Heart of Chornobyl.
