Co-op action roguelike Shape of Dreams released on Xbox Series X|S and immediately appeared on Game Pass.The console release coincided with the anniversary of the PC version and the game's largest update - The Starless Path.
More than 1.5 million people tried the game in a year
Shape of Dreams debuted on Steam in September 2025.More than 1.5 million people played it in its first year, and the Xbox version already includes accumulated balance, performance, and stability fixes.
You can play alone or in co-op with up to four people.Cross-play with other supported platforms is available at launch.
The Starless Path adds a new Traveler
The update expands the roster to nine Travelers, adds a new final boss and another ending.Six common Identity Memories have appeared - special memories that can change the character’s base style.
For veterans, heroic bosses have been made more difficult at higher difficulty levels.Previously, the developers had already added the Limbo endgame mode, new sanctuaries and reworked critical hits.
The build system remains the center of the game
Skills are represented by Memories, and Essences change their properties.There are more than two hundred combinations, so one attempt can turn a hero into an ice mage, and another into a character around critical hits or summoned allies.
On Xbox, all players also have access to the bonus Crimson Flash Lacerta costume.
The release complemented the September subscription line: we separately collected Game Pass's biggest changes in September.In the case of Shape of Dreams, subscribers receive a mature version with a year of updates.
