Musical RPG Rockbeasts received a release window on PlayStation 5 - January 2027.Studio Lichthund reported this October 8th on PlayStation Blog.Along with the date, the developers announced a partnership with Critical Role and the participation of Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel in the voice acting.
The manager of a rock band is more important than the guitarist
In Rockbeasts, the player doesn't perform on stage: his job is to guide a fledgling band from garage rehearsals to major concerts. You will have to allocate resources, look for performances, resolve conflicts and take into account the characters of the musicians.Lichthund calls the game a music management role-playing game: the story is built around decisions and relationships, rather than testing a sense of rhythm.

Critical Role joined creative and publishing work
The partnership with Critical Role is not limited to voice actors. The head of Lichthund, Bartosz Pieczonka, explained that the company will help the team realize the planned version of the game. The specific distribution of publishing responsibilities has not been disclosed, so it is too early to draw conclusions about the change of all project partners.
Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel entered the cast, but which characters they voice are not reported.

Behind the scenes you will have to choose between money and ambitions
According to the studio's description, each member of the group pursues their own goals. The manager will have to find a compromise between creative desires, finances and the future of the team. The game focuses on the history of a musical career and its consequences: a successful performance here begins long before entering the stage.

The exact date for PC has not yet been announced
For PS5 confirmed January 2027, but there is no specific number yet.Rockbeasts have Steam page, however, the announcement does not specify a launch date for the PC version. The developers promise additional news as the release approaches.
