Ten Year Plan

Initially, the creators did not have a single plan: the story expanded with each new game.Everything changed during the work on the remake of Resident Evil 2, released in 2019.Capcom then embarked on a ten-year vision for developing the brand, which, as Takeuchi admitted, turned out to be one of the most difficult tasks. He added that the order in which the remakes were released could provide clues as to where the series is heading.

Requiem as a frontier

The producer called the release of Resident Evil Requiem in 2026 the end of the first ten years.“So I think the resolution will come within the next ten years,” he said.Takeuchi did not specify how many games Capcom is going to release before the finale, but we are not talking about one project: several new parts await players.Details are kept secret so as not to spoil the impression of the releases ahead of time.
