Rayman Legends Retold will not release on October 1st.Ubisoft has moved the platformer to December 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

An unusual detail is that the project has already received the status gold, meaning the main version is ready for release. The team still decided to take an extra two months to finalize the details.

The next show will take place on September 22

On this day, Ubisoft will release a Game Overview video. Then the press and invited authors will be able to share their fresh impressions after the game.

The developers described the reason for the delay without dramatization: they need more time to polish. There is no talk of any technical problems or transfer of individual versions.

The transfer affects all platforms

The new date is the same for PC and consoles. The PC version should appear on Steam, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store simultaneously with PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2.

For a project that has already received gold status, such a transfer looks unusual. But it's better than two months of patches after release, if the extra time is actually spent on fine-tuning.
