Sony has introduced two new wireless headsets for the PlayStation 5 ecosystem: PlayStation Pulse and more expensive Pulse Edge. Both models use planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link.
The price has not yet been announced. The regular Pulse should be released in select countries during the holiday season of 2026, Pulse Edge - in early 2027.

Both can work with PlayStation Link and Bluetooth simultaneously
PlayStation Link delivers uncompressed audio with low latency and is supported on PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC and Mac.At the same time, the headset can be connected to a compatible Bluetooth device, such as a phone.
The built-in microphones use AI noise reduction to filter out the background. The cups rotate and fold flat for portability.
Pulse Edge has twice as many magnets and active noise reduction
The base Pulse has four magnets per planar driver, the Edge has eight.Sony chalks this up to deeper bass without losing fidelity.
Edge also received active noise cancellation, separate game and chat balance adjustments on PS5, a removable boom microphone and a case included. If the boom is removed, a hidden built-in microphone remains.
Sony promises to announce the exact dates, prices and start of pre-orders later.
