Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy will be released on November 12, 2026.Owners of the original version will be able to purchase the update package separately.
The main addition is Dandori Academy.Nintendo promises 72 challenges, which will be released gradually.Stages vary in difficulty, medals are awarded for completion, and results can be compared in ratings.
The Switch 2 will also allow Father to give voice commands via the built-in microphone.Dandori Battles will feature GameShare, allowing a second player to connect locally or via GameChat, even if they don't have their own copy of the game.
Another change is improved image quality in handheld and TV modes.Nintendo isn't calling it a remake: the core Pikmin 4 remains the same, and the new features are packaged as a separate Switch 2 update.
