Persona 4 Revival got a new gameplay reveal.Atlus took a closer look at Inaba, the protagonist's daily life, and updated battles in the TV world.

The remake retains the core of Persona 4: during the day the player goes to school, meets friends and does things around town, and free time has to be divided between relationships, characteristics and trips to the dungeons.

Inaba has become noticeably more detailed

The city has been rebuilt with modern geometry and lighting.Familiar places remained in place, but the streets received more detail, and the transitions between individual zones became more natural.

Atlus also added new animations and scenes between characters. At the same time, the structure of the calendar and key events of the original are preserved.

The battles received the interface of modern Persona

Battles use the familiar system of weaknesses, Persona changes, and extra turns. The interface has been redesigned in the spirit of the latest Atlus games, so basic commands are easier to read during combat.

The remake doesn't abandon its turn-based approach. The changes are aimed at control speed and presentation, rather than turning Persona 4 into an action game.

Revival must maintain the mood of the original

The main task of the remake is more difficult than updating the graphics.Persona 4 is remembered for its intimate Inaba, rainy days, music and the feeling of a small company that gradually becomes close.

With the new show, Atlus is trying to maintain this rhythm.Persona 4 Revival will be released on modern platforms; the publisher will announce the exact release date later.
