The multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 introduced the Shipment map, one of the most recognizable in the history of the series. It can be played in a standard 6v6 rotation, as well as in a special Shipment 24/7 playlist. The Call of Duty account announced this on October 27 with the words "Shipment is now in the game."

What is the Shipment 24/7 playlist

In it, players play only on Shipment, only the modes change. This playlist is loved for chaos and a quick collection of kills, so it is usually chosen for leveling up camouflages and completing challenges. For Modern Warfare 4, this is the first map added since the game's release.

Where did the map come from?

Shipment debuted in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007, almost 20 years ago.According to the developers, it ended up in the game by accident: it was intended as a simple test platform to test features like split screen, but it was left in the release build by mistake. At that time, the games were not yet constantly updated, and any edit cost money, so they decided not to remove the map.The players loved it, and over time it became a cult favorite.

Modern Warfare 4 was released on October 23 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2. We talked about the launch of the game in the material about the release day, but about the series’ record revenue in a note about 40 billion dollars.

The first season of post-launch content starts next week. What will be included in it is still unknown. As per series tradition, expect weapons, a battle pass, cosmetics, and possibly new maps and modes.IGN rated the game's campaign and multiplayer a 7 out of 10, noting that the multiplayer remains fun but doesn't noticeably advance the series.
