Bungie launched Nightfall Refresh for Marathon and at the same time revealed a detailed development plan until March 2027.The update begins a progression overhaul following player complaints about the pace of progression and lack of long-term goals.
After entering the game, credits, equipment, Cradle improvements and faction modifications are reset. All owners receive a new NuCal Reward Pass with no time limit, and the balance of weapons and abilities is noticeably changed.

The next major stage is scheduled for December 8th.Symbiosis will add the first permanent PvE mode, an expanded Perimeter, a new Runner, a space with a shooting range, and an experimental Team Deathmatch.
In March, Bungie is going to combine PvE, PvP and PvEvP into a cohesive system, adding a new region, enemies, deeper Runner customization and story threads.Previously we wrote about postponing Symbiosis and abandoning the rigid seasonal schedule.
The new plan shows Marathon's direction after launch: less tied to the calendar and more big changes based on audience response.
