There was a real surprise for fans of hand-drawn adventures: Amanita Design announced Machinarium 2 17 years after the original was released.Josef and Bertha are finally together and set off to look for a new home.

Their journey takes them to a hidden valley where two communities of robots live.One settled in the monastery of Electrona on the rocks, the other in the city of Oilton below.Both run out of energy, and the couple finds themselves drawn into someone else's story.

This time the puzzles are solved by two people

The player will be able to freely switch between Josef and Bertha: their abilities differ, so some of the tasks cannot be solved alone.As before, characters communicate using gestures, icons, and drawn thoughts.The developers promise to do without text dialogues.

All backgrounds and characters are again hand drawn.Amanita Design cites Renaissance landscape painting as one of its sources of inspiration.Responsible for the music Tomáš Dvořák (Floex) - author of the soundtrack of the first part.

When will it be released?

While the PC version has been confirmed on Steam, the game's page is already open for wishlisting. The exact release date was not announced. Controls are designed for both mouse and gamepad.

The new announcement was made as part of autumn presentation of the Triple-i Initiative.All details and screenshots are at official Machinarium 2 page on Steam.
