Kena: Scars of Kosmora will not be released in 2026.Ember Lab has officially moved the sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits to 2027: The studio needed extra time to polish the game, which became noticeably larger than the first part.

Why was the transfer needed?

Ember Lab says it wants to surpass the quality of its 2021 debut while expanding the scope of the adventure. The developers have not yet announced a specific date for 2027, so the postponement should be perceived as a new release window.

What's new about Kosmora?

Kena has become a more experienced Spirit Guide, but now the story will focus more on herself. The journey takes the heroine to the island of Kosmora, where there once existed four connected cultures, each with its own element. An important part of the passage will be Alchemystic Temples - temple challenges with rewards.

The world will become more spacious, although Ember Lab still calls the game a linear adventure. To move around, Kena will have a large crystal companion: you can ride it, help in battle and participate in solving puzzles.

The platforms have not changed

Kena: Scars of Kosmora will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC.Digital and physical editions are announced for PS5, and a digital release for PC.Before the postponement, the game was announced for 2026.

The delay looks logical against the backdrop of new details: Ember Lab is expanding the structure of the world, movement and elemental mechanics. Now the main question is how far into 2027 the release will go.
