IGGYMOB released a new Action Trailer for Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat and showed just how deeply the studio is rebuilding the 2022 action title. Blood Heat is not an ordinary remaster: controls, animations, AI of opponents and combat encounters themselves have been rebuilt at a modern pace.
The most noticeable change is the abandonment of eight directions of movement in favor of full 360-degree control. For a game where Grave is constantly shooting on the move and pivoting between groups of enemies, this changes the feel of each fight.
Gun Kata gets faster
The developers promise smoother melee and ranged combat, new movement systems and redesigned animations. In the trailer, Grave changes direction faster, controls distance better, and makes better use of its surroundings.
Enemies also received new AI and more behavior options. Therefore, Blood Heat tries to correct one of the main problems of the original G.O.R.E - the situation when spectacular shooting turned into monotonous progress along the corridor.

It's still Gungrave
Despite the modernization, the basics remain the same: heavy pistols, coffin weapons, long combos and intentionally over-the-top explosions. The new Beyond the Grave was created with the participation of Yasuhiro Naito, the author of the visual image of the series.
Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat will be released in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The exact date has not yet been announced.
