On August 27, Rockstar revealed 27 minutes Grand Theft Auto VI.The entire video was recorded on PlayStation 5 and for the first time allows you to calmly look at the game without the usual trailer editing.
The main impression from the show is that Vice City no longer looks like just a setting for the crime story of Jason and Lucia.Rockstar shows the city as a set of connected systems: the streets live their own rhythm, NPCs react to what is happening, and the heroes constantly move from calm scenes to chases, shootouts and preparations for new cases.

Jason and Lucia work as a couple
Jason Duvall and Lucia Caminos remain at the center of GTA VI.The new show spends a lot of time on their interactions. These are not two independent heroes that the player switches between for different missions.Their relationship is directly related to the plot and how the crime episodes develop.
Rockstar builds the story around a failed case, after which the heroes find themselves inside a large conspiracy in the state of Leonidas. They have to rely on each other, and this connection is noticeable not only in cut scenes.Collaborative action regularly translates into gameplay.

Vice City has become denser
The extended video shows streets, clubs, shops, residential areas, highways and the coast. There is no sense of separate arenas between them.Cars, passers-by, and random events constantly create movement around the player.
The amount of small detail works especially well.Characters use phones, react to noise and conflict, and the city changes along with the area. The center of Vice City looks different from the outskirts and roads outside the city.

Shootings have become heavier
In combat scenes, weapons feel heavier, and hero animations have become noticeably more complex.Jason and Lucia change their body position behind cover, react faster to close enemies, and take advantage of their surroundings during firefights.
Rockstar has not yet revealed all the details of control and leveling, so it’s too early to judge the depth of the combat system based on one show. But it's already clear that the studio is not just moving the shooting from GTA V to a more beautiful city.

The show was recorded on a regular PS5
Rockstar separately clarified that the entire Extended Look was recorded from the PlayStation 5. For a game of this scale, this is an important detail: the video shows the console version, and not a specially prepared PC build.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.A PC version has not yet been announced.
