Rockstar has confirmed that the GTA 6 map will open relatively early. This is stated in a new preview from Edge magazine, which was recounted by the GTA VI podcast O'Clock and then by IGN.The game releases November 19th on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The plot does not ban the player in one city

In GTA 4, the world expanded along with the story: the bridges of Liberty City were blocked by the police, and it was necessary to grow to other areas according to the plot.In GTA 5, everything is different: after the introductory tasks, the player could go anywhere.According to Edge, GTA 6 will take the second route, and the State of Leonidas will become available quite early.

The initial story episodes with heroes and mechanics will not go away, but then you can, for example, immediately go north and look at the top edge of the map.You won’t have to sit through the first ten hours in Vice City.

Interiors and new places

Rockstar North co-director Aaron Garbut admitted that he still finds places in Leonidas that he did not know.Part of the reason is the density of the world: there are orders of magnitude more interiors, he says, than in the studio's other games, and each one is made by hand with great attention to detail.

We discussed the rest about the scale of the game, weather and ratings in a separate article.
