Game Freak showed a new project that is almost nothing like Pokémon.Ame nochi Hare Onna is created for smartphones and uses a real weather forecast as part of the game world.
If the weather changes in Japan, this will be reflected within the game.The developers describe the idea with the phrase “tomorrow’s weather becomes magic.”
The main characters turn the weather into strength
The action takes place in modern Japan.Hare-onna sorceresses can turn the weather into magic and help people cope with their worries.Kumorin creatures travel next to them, giving the heroines strength.
The project is linked to forecasts across the country, so the same day can feel different depending on the actual situation.
This is not an internal Pokémon mobile team
It is being developed by CHRONOGATE and presented by Game Freak.The game will be released on iOS and Android in winter 2026 and will be free with in-game purchases.
So far, a Japanese release and Japanese language have been announced.The company has not announced an international version.
