Fool King will be released in Early Access on November 16th, and a demo is already available on Steam. This is an asynchronous auto-battler where the player gathers an army and sends it against the formations left by other participants.
Matchmaking in the usual sense is not needed: the enemy does not have to be online at the same time as you.The game saves his army and formation, then uses it as a test for the next contender for the throne.
Armies fight without simultaneous online
The set of troops includes regular archers, knights and catapults, as well as magical creatures.Once an army is formed, it can be strengthened through the four divine directions;the developers claim more than 120 improvements.
The position of the units also matters.Bridges create narrow passages, tall grass provides cover, and certain abilities allow you to teleport to an attacking enemy, speed up melee combat, or turn opponents into undead.
The game was shown at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct.Other news of the past week related to Tokyo Game Show 2026, the final day of which was canceled by the organizers due to a typhoon.

The winner will be able to change the rules
After a series of victories, the player will be able to take the throne and issue decrees that change the rules for those who come next. The details of this system have not yet been fully disclosed, but it is what connects the asynchronous armies of different players into a common sequence.
Until November 16, the mechanics can be evaluated in a free demo.Early access starts only on PC;The developers did not mention the release dates for the full version and possible console ports in the new trailer.
