Sony decided to open September with two presentations in a row.On September 3, the usual State of Play will take place first, and immediately after it the State of Play Japan will begin with games from Japanese and Asian studios.
The general broadcast starts at 16:00 Moscow time. You can watch it on the official PlayStation channels on YouTube and Twitch.

What will be shown at the first State of Play
Sony promises news and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. The full list of participants has not been revealed in advance, so any selection of “definitely confirmed” games outside of the official announcement remains speculation for now.
One game is named directly: the main presentation will conclude with an extended showing of Final Fantasy VII Revelation. This is the final part of the remake trilogy that Square Enix is preparing for PS5.

Revelation doesn't have an exact date yet.The official PlayStation page lists 2027.The game should expand exploration of the world: the heroes will receive the Highwind airship, and the player will be able to choose landing sites in different regions.

Why is there a separate Japan issue?
The State of Play Japan will begin immediately after the general program. The host will again be actor Yuki Kaji, and the main focus will be on developers from Japan and other Asian countries.
This episode will be in Japanese with English subtitles.Sony promises new game footage and announcements, but does not specify the duration of both programs. Therefore, the evening may turn out to be either a compact series of trailers or a prominent presentation before the fall season.

The main thing is no rumors
Two things have been confirmed so far: the broadcasts will be back-to-back, and the first episode will conclude with Final Fantasy VII Revelation. It is better to evaluate the remaining games after the broadcast - especially against the backdrop of the usual wave of rumors before each PlayStation presentation.
For viewers from Russia, the time is convenient: 16:00 Moscow time.If both programs turn out to be busy, Sony will get a good start to September and at the same time identify projects that will be discussed before the end of the year.
