Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen became the main announcement of the new Capcom show. The add-on will expand Dragon's Dogma 2 with a new region, enemies and a continuation of the Risen story.

The title directly references Dark Arisen for the first Dragon's Dogma, but Capcom isn't making a simple copy of Bitterblack Isle. The new area is being built for the systems of the second part and its physical battles.

The new region is designed for an experienced Risen

The add-on continues the main game, so the opponents and tasks are designed for a hero with a developed set of professions and equipment.Capcom promises new encounters where you will have to use verticality and environmental features.

Pawns remain part of all key systems.Their specializations and combat behavior again influence how the party deals with large creatures.

Large monsters remain the center of the combat system

The show introduced a massive new opponent. As in the main Dragon's Dogma 2, large creatures can be climbed on, attack individual parts of the body and use the terrain.

It is precisely such fights that best reveal the physics of the game: the fall of a monster can change the position of the entire group, and the wrong choice of place turns a good plan into chaos.

Dark Arisen will be released in 2027

The addition is announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.Capcom has not yet announced the exact release date and price.

After the announcement, the main question remains - how big the new area will be.But the direction is already clear: Dark Arisen develops the strongest side of Dragon’s Dogma 2, that is, traveling with pawns and unpredictable battles with large creatures.
