Good Smile Company and Monochrome Corporation announced a new fantasy universe IGNISPHERE.The first game in it will be an action-RPG DAWNGAZER, which is headed by Takafumi Noma - director and character designer of Unicorn Overlord.
The name of the universe is made up of the Latin ignis - “fire” - and sphere, “world”.According to Noma’s idea, each country and people of this world has its own “fire”: its own culture and its own stories.The hero of DAWNGAZER is a man who failed to save the royal family, and the action takes place in the country of Pyros.
The game is being developed by IGNISPHERE Studio, Noma's team inside Monochrome.Monochrome itself celebrates its 15th anniversary this month;the studio previously worked on Grand Kingdom and SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered.The publisher will be Good Smile Company.
They plan to develop the universe not only through games.Good Smile will handle merchandise, including figurines, and KADOKAWA, an imprint of Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, is preparing several light novels based on IGNISPHERE.
The music for the teaser was composed by Yoshimi Kudo, who worked on Unicorn Overlord and Elden Ring.He will also become the composer of the game.
DAWNGAZER will be released on 2028 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.Available languages are English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
