Enthusiasts show early synchronization of characters and cars in Night City. There is no full-fledged co-op or public version yet.

Two players can already appear in the same Night City
The authors of the experimental modification for Cyberpunk 2077 spoke about the first network tests.According to them, two game clients exchange data through a dedicated server: the positions of the characters, the movement of the remote player and the test objects of the cars are synchronized. This is a technical prototype, not a finished co-op mode.
What developers still have to synchronize
The team moves from a temporary data transfer scheme to a system with game sessions, player IDs and network objects.Unsolved issues include overall quest progress, NPC behavior, and save synchronization. Therefore, it is not yet possible to go through the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline together based on the current video.
Why the mod cannot be considered an official multiplayer
The project is made by enthusiasts, not CD Projekt RED.It does not have a public playable build or confirmed release date. The developers directly warn that they are testing the capabilities of the engine and do not promise to complete the work by a certain date.
When can I try the mod?
For now, the team invites you to follow the tests and discuss technical solutions in the community. For players, the main conclusion is simple: joint walks around Night City are already being tested, but a stable cooperative with tasks has yet to be created.
