The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt season pass with two story expansions cost only $24.99.Mp1st was surprised by such generosity and asked CD Projekt Red how the studio chose the price.
PR director Marcin Momot responded that The Witcher 3 was the studio's most ambitious project and the first open-world game. The low price of the pass became part of these ambitions. The goal of the expansions, he said, was to give players real value for their money.
Those who supported us by purchasing a season pass essentially gave us their trust.I think it was our way of thanking them for their trust and for sharing this journey with us.
Momot added that the studio was determined to make additions that were worth the money spent, and believes that it succeeded. In September, a remaster of the game was released, which included both additions, “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine.”The third, “Ballads of the Past”, is expected in 2027.We wrote about the launch of the remaster separately.
