Netmarble Neo showed new gameplay at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show Bloomwalker and confirmed an important detail: the adventure now officially belongs to the Ni no Kuni universe.
The task is not to conquer the world, but to restore it
The action takes place in Luminoa, a land infected with pollution. The shrines are destroyed and their guardians are driven mad.The player travels along with an unusual moving house and cleanses areas, returning color and life to them.
The developers specifically contrast Bloomwalker with survival games: here progress is built around recovery.Even hostile creatures are proposed not to be destroyed, but to be cleansed of corruption.
The house travels with the hero
The mobile home serves as a base and gradually gains new functions.Through its door you can enter the Pocket Dimension - a separate space for building, placing objects and decorating.
The collected resources are needed not only for your own base.Crafting helps restore villages, build housing and create gifts for characters.
Connection with Ni no Kuni changes the context of the game
At TGS, Xbox specifically noted that Bloomwalker has become part of the Ni no Kuni universe. The game features little Higgledies nature spirits, and the overall combination of warm fairytale aesthetics and world restoration now gets a direct connection to the famous series.
Bloomwalker is announced for Xbox Series X|S and PC.Netmarble has not yet announced the exact release date.
The new show entered Xbox program at Tokyo Game Show, where the company placed a noticeable emphasis on projects from Asian studios. For Bloomwalker, this is especially fitting following its official inclusion in Ni no Kuni.
