Nexon has entered into an agreement with Chernin Entertainment to develop the screen versions of ARC Raiders and The Finals.The company will be the lead producer on two Embark Studios games.
The format is still widely divided: we are talking about cinema and television, but specific projects, actors, directors and release dates have not been announced.The financial terms of the partnership are also not disclosed.
In the announcement, Nexon simultaneously updated the gaming metrics.ARC Raiders has sold over 16 million copies worldwide, and The Finals has over 30 million registered users.
Both series continue to receive game content.Already announced for ARC Raiders Frozen Trail with snow map and new ARCs, and The Finals is preparing major overhaul of destruction physics.
The partnership with Chernin marks the next stage in the growth of Embark's brands: the publisher is now testing their potential beyond the games themselves.
