October's 28 Games Later packed 28 horror titles into about 40 minutes. The Insider Gaming presentation included five world premieres, one surprise release, new demos and updated dates. This is not a collection of several high-profile AAA games, but a showcase of small projects, among which there are some truly unusual ideas.

Five premieres instead of one big finale
New projects include Signal Veil, BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN, Tainted, The Boba Teashop: Refill and Dark Pals: The 2nd Floor. The organizers did not build the show around one final sensation: the premieres were distributed throughout the program along with already familiar games and interviews with developers.
The approach works well for horror.Large series set the tone for the genre, while smaller teams are more likely to experiment with mechanics and visual style. Therefore, psychological stories, co-op, retro and projects with live video inserts coexist in one presentation.
Demo versions can be checked immediately
Inkblood received a public demo during the show. This is an occult detective story in which the player investigates several cases and uses supernatural tools to reconstruct events. The full version promises ten separate investigations.
For Expendabots, the demo is scheduled for October 10th.The project is designed for co-op for up to four players and mixes horror with the evacuation formula.OZARK, on the contrary, became a shadow drop: a short story-based 2.5D game was released right during the presentation.
Among the 28 games there are some bright ideas
Tenebris Somnia combines pixelated survival horror with live-action action scenes.Don't Fret sends a sentient guitar to a nightmare music school.AGNI: Village of Calamity leans into the Indonesian horror feel, while Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy brings back a familiar franchise.
In total, the list also included Ritual Tides, Mimic, Dreadline Express, Inkblood, Shadow Hills Manor, Gone Feral, Dark Fracture, The Funskin Project, Night Plane, Escape From Playtime, The Subminer, Transit and other projects.
The main result of the show
The strength of 28 Games Later is not the number of world premieres. In 40 minutes, the presentation gave several things that you can use right away: a released game, an available demo and another demo with a specific date. For other projects, the show became a short test of interest before more detailed screenings.
We will return to individual games from the list only when there is a meaningful reason: a demo, a date, a big gameplay video or a release. There is no point in blowing up every minute trailer into a separate news story.
