Alpha demo Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember remains available until September 30 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Xbox on PC).Those who wanted to get a feel for the sequel before release should hurry up.
Alpha demo
Alpha again takes the player to a dark version of the era of the Three Kingdoms, but noticeably expands the space: exploration has become freer than in the first part.This is a direct consequence of the open world focus that Team Ninja spoke about at the time of its announcement.
Inside is the early part of the game, character creation and co-op for up to three people.Completing the game rewards you with a Fledgling Phoenix helmet, which will carry over to the full version.

Boss Zuochi and Insight Skills
At Tokyo Game Show 2026, the studio released a new gameplay trailer, starring a boss named Zuochi.The character is based on Chinese mythology: in ancient legends, this was the name of a monster with teeth like a chisel that devastated the land until it was defeated by the legendary archer Hou Yi.
In the fragment shown, Zuochi fights extremely aggressively and gives little respite, so the fight demonstrates well the new combination of reflection and insight skills.
It is in such fights that Insight Skills are revealed.Reflecting attacks, familiar from the first part, has not gone away, but now you can combine it with insight and immediately strike back.

The trailer also showed other elements of the combat system:
- insight skills for an instant counterattack after parrying a blow;
- stunning opponents by hitting a wall, the possibilities depend on the environment in the arena;
- manifestation of the divine beast (Divine Beast Manifestation) to temporarily strengthen the hero.
The last mechanic has been noticeably reworked.In Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the divine beast was summoned for the sake of elemental damage, and in the sequel it strengthens the appearance of the character himself for a limited time, and in this state the hero carries out especially powerful attacks.
Closer to Nioh
The parallels with the Nioh series are obvious and, apparently, intentional.Team Ninja reported that the world design was inspired by Nioh 3, and the morale system was reworked to accommodate a more open location structure.The movement borrows ideas from Ninja Gaiden, including running on walls.
Release date
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will be released on March 4, 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
